I need to know if I can just replace the bearings without getting a new hub. I got some teg fronts a while back, and after getting them restudded, one of the bearing was bad, and when I picked up another set, it seems both wobble when they shouldnt. I priced the hub and bearings at acura..and I dont want to spend that much more on this. I want my car back SOON. With the rotor on the hub, I can wiggle it up and down and then side to side. Even with the axle in, but I dont have the calipur on yet. Can anyone help me?

sounds like everything isn't together tight to me, it may wobble like that too.... Try tightening the axle nut and see how it feels then.

You can buy front bearings separate, but not rears.
I just went through this on my hatch, the rear bearings used to be available separately but not anymore.

The rears are cake to replace, took me an hour to do both rears.
The fronts suck, You need a press to get the hub/bearing race out, then a cut off wheel to notch the race deep and a hammer and cold chisel to split it enough to pull off the hub.

Just be sure to remember the clip that holds in the bearing, forgetting it when you put everything back together means you have to get yet another bearing. I'm not even going to mention how I know that. Confused

Every bearing made has a serial number on on. Take it to a Bearings/Hydrualics shop and they could get you one for Cheap!

Well, I got it worked out. It was indeed the axle nut not being tight. After I torqued it down..all was good, cept the car wouldnt start.
