How much are nsx calipers and where could I get some? I would rather not buy them new since they would probably be pretty pricey. Any info is helpful. Thanks

i would recommend you look into newer ACURA LEGEND GS calipers. they are dual piston like the NSX calipers. but the pistons are actually bigger, they have 42/38mm sized pistons, while the NSX has 40/34mm sized calipers. it won't really make THAT much of a difference, but the legend calipers will be less expencive than hte NSX and perform better.

but you wont get the bling factor of having NSX on your caliper lol, which i hope thats not why your doing this.

what rotors are you going to be using? i recommend you getting the redrilled legend 28mm rotors from fastbrakes.com rather than redrilling some other 22mm rotors (ex. prelude vtec).

i dont know about nsx calipers, they might be hard to find. but for legend ones, just buy some remanufactured ones from pepboys or something. they'll probably have to order them, but bring your stock calipers in and give them to pepboys for a core charge. that way, when they calipers come in, they wont see that they are physically different =] i doubt that'll work for nsx calipers.

have fun with your super brakes!

i was looking to get the type r 12 inch drilled and slotted rotors from fast brakes, then put the nsx calipers on there. would the nsx calipers fit onto some gsr rotors, since the gsr rotors are cheaper?

nsx uses 28mm deep rotors while typer/gsr uses 22mm deep rotors. that will give the caliper an extra 6mm of play -- not good

just get the ones you are supposed to have, the legend rotors from fastbrakes. call them.

and cheaper is always not as goood

i bought mine on ebay for around $230.

the old rotor over the top of the new one. not a great angle, but you can see the new rotor is much bigger.

comparison of the pad size. the new pads are about twice the size of the old ones.

the old calipers look dinky compared to the new two piston (Acura NSX/Legend).

the ***** of a rotor i had to break apart to get off the hub.

new setup on it's own.

behind a Fat Five.

rollin on 3/4 dubs.
