So, you want to run your ride in an auto-x for the first time. Well, what class is your car going to be in? Here is a basic rule chart so you can find out. There are many different variables to classify your car:

Dont forget the out of date moutons page. It has stock and SP classing by class and by make. Some good info.

The best advice I can give you is to walk the course. Do it again. Do it again. You should be able to run the course in your head while sitting in the pits. Also, your first time, walk the course with an experienced driver. They will give you tips on lines, etc. After they show you where the course goes, walk it alone. Dont talk to anyone. Just ignore everyone. Walk your lines. Dont get distracted. Good luck. If you have any questions, ask someone. They wont mind talking to you.

^^ werd just dont ask somebody questions while they are walking the course unless for some reason it looks like they arent really concentrating. I know for me, when im walking the course the first couple times, I block everything out. Ask somebody who might be chatting with the people at the booth, or even let the people when u sign up know that your new and ask if anyone will walk the course with u Smile or come to florida...

I was going to say walk the course too, but also remember to not try and set your fastest time on the first run. Take it eeeeeeasssyyyyyy the first time out, warm up the tires and get a "feel" for the course.

As for replacing stock parts with stock parts, hey have to draw the line somewhere. With a Honda it might not make such a difference with a y8 manifold on a y7, but on another make it might be a huge deal. I'm not saying it makes the most sense but if the rulebook were made to try and determine which mods help and how much it would be the size of a phonebook Wink It's already the size of a romantic novel Smile

Damn. Ive got no rear seats, changed my front brakes, put on coil overs, got bigger rims, CF wing, changed my front seats, and I am about to swap in a B series. That list screws me hardcore.
