thanx for the nrg link - i bought a few of their product (hub/quick release/hub lock/dampener/etc) last spring in asai already. realy like their products, dirt cheap in asia where i got them from. Very Happy

the megan h-brace im getting is exactly the same from nrg but nrg doesnt make them in blue only in Dark Titanium but megan makes them in red or blue and i want the blue.... Very Happy

theyre both made by the same company. Confused
cant afford cusco.... Sad

dropped off some deposite for the cf hood and got the H-brace.... woohooo!!! Cool

does any one know fo seibon cf hoods dont require hood pins?

although i will be installing hood pins for safety but ken from the speed shop said that seibon hoods dont need hood pins to lock them down - something about the front latch thats on the hood is made from some strong material/cf that will not break off the hood - built-in latch.

SEIBON

Q. Are hood pins required?
A. Yes. Although most of our hoods come with built-in latches (depending on whether or not your stock hood has built-in latches), hood pins are required for your own safety.

just wondering.... Rolling Eyes

what hood pins or hood locks with key do you recommend?

thank you.

Another reason why not to get VIS.

Yo CarbonEG, mine has the hoop on the bottom side like the factory for the latch.

The retard before me drilled my hood, cause it is used for the slide pins. I'am opposed to pins for the most part cause they are distracting, but for now I deal with it. Ultimately, I will probably buy a new fiber hood and I have been looking at SEIBON hoods just cause that is all that is on EBAY. I'm waiting for now till I buy more important parts first.

Mine got it too, the thing is that "some" carbon fiber hoods are so light or they might have a small gap that lets air get under the hood and when going at a high speed the hoop my get ripped off the hood and the hood will slap the shet out of your windshield which can lead to an accident.

I did not want to drill my hood neither but I did it cause if not chances were that the hood would snap back and I rather have a hood with pins than having no hoodat all. So make sure that when you get your new hood installed that that there is no gaps and that it is tight fitted just to be safe.

That does make sense about high speed drag causing lift. I have a friend that had a DA teg w/ a fiberglass hood that lifted on the interstate, it demolished the roof, windshield and hinges. Bad stuff!!! ANYWAYS thanks for the tip.

Do you guys put the rubber strip off the stock hood on your carbon hood? My two friends did that, and they have no problems.
