So I finished my new magnetic number plates last night and took some pics. I think they turned out pretty well. I bought the material and had a friend cut the vinyl, then I applied everything.

Well, they were a bit expensive. I made two sets, one for me and one for my co driver. I bought 8' of .030 magnetic material with a white face and 10' of the dark blue vinyl from a local sign shop. All that cost me $69. I took the vinyl to a friends place and haad it cut to my design. I gave him $20 for the favor. When I got home, I used some scrap I had for the light blue bg on top, layed that down first, then carefully laid the dark blue vinyl over it. After that I cut away the extra magnetic sheeting .25" around the border of the vinyl.

All in all, it was $79 for two sets. Fast Signs in Dayton wanted to charge me $90 for one set, so I guess I made out alright.

If you have time, you can buy the magnetic material for a lot less than I payed. I was just in a hurry.

sorry that this is off-topic, but how did you get your entire headlight housing to be yellow? i bought the lumincs bulbs, and they look awesome, but i really like the look of your headlights.

I used Kryon Stain Glass paint [yellow] for my fog lights. JDMshit.com sells a paint for glass as well. Or if you dont want to paint, you can try finding somewhere that sells yellow film. I dont know anywhere that would sell that.

did the film actually make your headlights yellow? i have the luminix yellow headlight bulbs, and love the look of them at night. just wondering if this would look decent or not.

FYI it is illegal to have the yellow tint/bulbs. So if you were wanting it on your daily driver.. I would recommend not doing it.

I personally witness an officer stating this.
