( click image to enlarge.. i can figure how to make them larger)

Good show! And about the hoses... I am unsure, haha. If I had to guess, I would say that it works as a oil cooler.

Well i got home from work today around 10pm and didn't feel like goin out so i decided to try and clean off the carbon on the tops of my pistons...i turned the crank so that all 4 pistons were at equal level and poured in so ATF. After letting it soak for 5 mins i began to lightly scrub the tops with a scotch pad.. i also very very lightly and carefully used a screw driver to pick away at the carbon. Here are some pics ...(again click on image to enlarge)

..A before pic to compare..(this was a clean piston of the 4)

They look much cleaner then before..but i began to slack off on the 2nd piston. i am going to let them soak longer in the ATF, hopefully the carbon will come off easier.. what do u guys think??

I've actually used Dawn and some sort of a abrasive cleaning pad. Worked for me!

the hoses are the oil cooler/heater setup. Honda didn't use it until later so the OBD1 blocks didn't get it.

I thought the LS tranny was a y80/s80.... the S1 is the B16a tranny. maybe I'm wrong, I don't know for sure.

good job on the clean up.
