Has anyone ever heard of these or used them? I know they are really cheap but the # look great. Treadwear is right above what it needs to be for STS. Traction is AA. Im sure they wont last long but for 37$ a tire, you cant beat it.

Matador Mp 41 Aquila

these #s are for a 195/50ZR15...yah thats right Z rated too...

Load Rating 82
Traction AA
Temperature A
Performance MP (stands for Maximum Performance) i dunno what that means ::shrugs::
Tread Depth 10
Rim Width (Min/Max) 5.5 - 7
Overall Diameter 22.6
Rim Protector No
Sidewall Type BW
Part Number 16-4159

Sounds ok, what's the treadwear? Looks like it'd be a decent rain tire, I dunno about dry.

The treadwear points toward them being good street touring tires, since they meet your treadwear requirement. Keep in mind though that treadwear is a score the manufacturer gives the tire based on other tires in that company's lineup. A 180 matador might not be the same treadwear as a 180 Goodyear, for instance. Does the site you came from run tests on the tires like lane-change speed or a general dry traction test? Those will tell you more how they stack up to the competition.

hmm i dont think so...unless thats what the "performance" stands for. they have other ratings like "HP" and "UHP" but this is the best rating.

Well, the "best" that can be used in STS anyway Smile. There is one more class higher than Max Performance Summer.
