not that im denying the purpose of 5 lug, but what is your reasoning for doing it? simply put, WHY? and if you tell me "b/c its JDM" be prepared for me to hate your life.

My reason for doing the five lug conversion is to give my hatch a better feel on the road. Having the largest rotor size on the front and rear (for a civic with a 15" wheel) just gives me that extra stopping insurance. I will also be upgrading the front calipers to NSX parts for a 4 piston setup instead of the stock ITR 2 piston setup. Plus I love the look of the gunmetal USDM ITR wheels on my hatch.

Yes that is true BUT if you are going to upgrade the brake system, why not go with an aftermarket setup that doesnt require extensive modification? I understand that you like the look of the usdm type R wheels. I like the look of a rwd car with big fatty slicks on the back, but im not gonna do that to my civic. My ? still stands. What is the FUNCTIONAL purpose behind a 5-lug swap? b/c to me right know, it seems mainly cosmetic (not in general but when compared to the alternatives). And if it is just cosmetic then thats cool, i can understand it then. To each his own Smile

But, a big brake kit for the most part you must use 16' or 17's. Im not going any bigger than 15.

it all depends on the kit you buy. You can get an uprgraded brake setup that will clear 15's easily....theres a great deal of manufacturers that make them.

they also cost as much as doing the 5 lug conversion.

So what size are my wheel bearings and if you know what size are the crv bearings? Ive been thinking if I can change out the crv setup to my hatch.
