Cited from Honda-Tech...

FAQ
---------------------------------------------------------
What do the numbers (aaa/bb/cc) mean on a tire?
aaa = the width of the tire in millimeters.
bb = the aspect ratio. the height of the sidewall, this is a percentage of the width of the tire.
cc = the diameter of the wheel to be used.
---------------------------------------------------------
What lug nuts do I need?
12x1.5 - Stock wheels use an acorn/ball/radius style, aftermarket wheels use a tapered/conical/tuner style. No, it is not safe to mix and match (stock wheel with tuner lugs or vice versa), the contact between the lugnut and the wheel will be insufficient, putting undue stress on them and potentially causing failure.

---------------------------------------------------------
What is offset?
The offset of a wheel is the distance from its hub mounting surface to the centerline of the wheel. You *should* be able to get away with an offset between +35-45. More info: http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/offset.jsp

---------------------------------------------------------
What size are my stock wheels?
ACURA | HONDA
---------------------------------------------------------
Which tires should I get?
The great: Falken Azenis, Bridgestone Potenza S-03, Bridgestone Potenza RE750
The good:Kumho Ecsta MX, Yokohama AVS ES100, BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KD
The ok: Kumho 712, BFGoodrich g-Force Sport
The ugly: Kumho 711 (I will only rate something ugly if I have personally driven them)
---------------------------------------------------------
What size tires should I get?
14" - 195/60/14, 195/55/14
15" - 205/50/15, 195/55/15, 195/50/15
16" - 215/45/16, 205/45/16, 225/45/16, 205/50/16
17" - 205/40/17, 205/45/17, 215/40/17

This is open for discussion and by no means what you have to get, but as a general rule you cannot go wrong with these sizes. I have them ordered in my personal preference.
---------------------------------------------------------
How much will x size tire throw off my speedometer?
http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
---------------------------------------------------------
What size are x centercaps?
Integra and Civic Si wheels have a 2.5" centercap.
---------------------------------------------------------
How much does x wheel weight?
http://www.wheelweights.net
http://www.wheelspecs.com
http://www.superhonda.com/tech/wheel_weights.html
http://www.google.com
---------------------------------------------------------
Should I get 17s?
Unless they are for a Prelude, S2K, Accord, NSX, etc... No, but they will fit other cars.
---------------------------------------------------------
Should I get 18s?
Unless they are for an S2K or NSX... No.
---------------------------------------------------------
Should I get x wheel or y wheel? aka What do you think of this wheel?
Grow up, make your own decisions.
---------------------------------------------------------
Will x wheels fit my car?
First, check the bolt pattern.
ACURA | HONDA

Second, check the offset. See offset answer above.

Third, check the hub bore, you may want hubcentric rings.

---------------------------------------------------------
Where should I order my tires?
Obviously, try Discount first as they support this forum: http://www.tires.com/
Then, try http://www.tirerack.com or http://www.vulcantire.com if Discount doesn't have and can't get what you need.

is it just my thinking, or if you have a souped up/swapped engine, you should have no problem turnin 17's, and if your worried about rotational mass, then just upgrade your brakes and get over it?? Wink
